The  3 days 2 nights Lamu archipelago by air /road  excursion leaves  from your hotel on a leisurely scenic drive to Malindi airport where we board the 30 minutes flight to Manda Island’s airstrip.

We connect to  Lamu by boat and proceed to discover the historical charm and serenity of the island. 

The Lamu island provides a physical, mental and spiritual retreat with Kenya coast scenery,overviews and culture thrown in.

SET YOUR OWN TOUR DAY:

DAY 1: MOMBASA – MALINDI - LAMU (Mombasa to Malindi 120 kms, Appx. 2.5 hrs)

Pick up from your beach resort and proceed  on a leisurely scenic drive to the Malindi airport.

Sisal, coconut,mango and  forest plantations together with  subsistence crops and  local homesteads occupy the 120 km stretch of smooth tarmac road.

We arrive in time for our 30-minute flight to Manda Island.
Approximately 1300hrs arrive at the Manda Airstrip.

Met and transfer by boat or dhow to  Lamu Island.

A walk or donkey ride takes us to our hotel.
We are on half board basis with breakfast and either lunch or dinner giving us the opportunity to explore and discover local restaurants.

DAY 2: LAMU

A whimsical day at Lamu Kenya!.

Explore the maze of streets, visit the Lamu museum, take a dhow tour to the neighboring Islands, visit the Shella beach or simply relax and while the day with the locals in this serene retreat.

DAY 3: LAMU – MALINDI - MOMBASA (Malindi to Mombasa 120km , Apprx 2.5 Hrs)

Breakfast at your hotel.

This morning is at leisure.

After lunch take a  boat transfer to the Manda Island Airstrip.
1340hrs: Depart Lamu for Malindi.
1420hrs: Met on arrival at Malindi Airport

Road transfer to Mombasa.
Drop off at your Mombasa or Diani beach resorts
